Don't Contaminate the Seed...

In this season I have been sowing a lot! In my morning meditation God shared with me that I needed to be sure that my soil was fertile and not contaminated. It really got me thinking if I needed to fix my area up a bit so that my seeds would bring a harvest..

“Now He who provides seed for the sower and bread for food will provide and multiply your seed for sowing [that is, your resources] and increase the harvest of your righteousness [which shows itself in active goodness, kindness, and love].”

God gives seed to the sower but can He trust that the seed will be planted in good and fertile soil? Is our area good enough for the seed to be planted? Is it contaminated? I know that God trusts me to sow the seed, but is it going to be useful? I can plant seed all day but if my area is contaminated then the seed won’t grow. It’s useless.

This isn’t a time to let just anything in our spirit. We need to be able to hear God clearly at all times. We have to be obedient to waking up early to meditate, pray and study God’s Word. Whatever time you like spending time with God most, be consistent and obedient with meeting Him at His feet. We have to be ready at all times.

-We have to fix our words and fix our faith.

-We can’t curse the seed or the blessing with our mouths.

-Are we living according to God’s will?

-We are free to proposer but are we positioned to prosper?

-Who are we speaking with? Who are we inviting into our space that could possibly contaminate the seed?

-Are we giving God a chance to speak to us? Are we able to hear God clearly?

Those are important things to think about as we are planting seeds and expecting a harvest from those seeds. We have to get us right so that we will not contaminate the seed or the soil!!
